Complaint Procedures
In accordance with Fortify’s commitment to maintaining a discrimination-free and harassment-free workplace, Fortify encourages employees to raise any issues that they believe constitute harassment early and proactively. An employee who believes that they were subject to harassment or a witness of harassment can choose any of the following options to resolve the situation:
Option 1: Self - When employees feel comfortable or confident to do so, they are encouraged to attempt to resolve their concerns by direct communication with the person(s) engaging in the unwelcome conduct. Make the harasser aware of their behaviour and ask them to stop.
Option 2: Management or Support and Intervention - Employees who are not comfortable addressing the matter on their own and who believe they are victims or witnesses of discrimination or harassment, or who become aware of situations where such conduct may be occurring, are encouraged to report these matters to their Team Leader or supervisor.
Option 3: Formal Complaint - if informal attempts at resolving the issue are not appropriate, or proving to be ineffective, a formal complaint can be initiated: written request for investigation, investigation conduct, confidentially maintained, summary report.
Escalation of Work-Related Concerns
Should you believe that another employee has acted in a manner that violates the company policies and procedures; does not demonstrate professional, mutual respect; or generally makes you feel uncomfortable, please speak with the person directly, with human resources, or with your Team Leader. The matter will receive prompt consideration.
