We look at the AR report weekly! We want to tackle this report head-on and get ahead of AR. We look at the AR report at the end of every week (Friday or Saturday).
STEP-BY-STEP:
1.) Select "Reports"
2.) Select "Accounts Receivable"
3.) Go through every name on the list and create an action for that patient.
A.) Action step #1 - Call the patient! Check-in on the patient, remind them they have an outstanding balance and attempt to collect payment by credit card right then and there. Leave a message if they don't answer! **Don't forget to document this action step in the Notes section of the patients' file
B.) Action Step #2 - Send the patient an automated email reminder to pay their balances online 3-7 days after your phone call.

C.) Action step #1 - Call the patient again! Remind them they have an outstanding balance and attempt to collect payment by credit card right then and there. Leave a message if they don't answer! **Don't forget to document this action step in the Notes section of the patients' file.
D.) Action step #3 - At the end of every month, print out a report of all the patients who are remaining on the AR report and hand into the office manager.
