When patients are brand new to the clinic, we always go above and beyond to ensure they feel like Fortify is home and they hold a sense of ownership. One of the ways we do this is through First Visit Tours!
First things first! Make sure this is truly the patient's first visit, not just their first visit with this specific practitioner. The last thing we want is someone who has been coming weekly for a year to be treated like a new patient! Yikes!
You can look this up by clicking on the appointments tab, and checking how many visits they have had. Sometimes patients have had previous visits but only virtually or over the phone! This may be their first time in the clinic! :)
TOURS:
1.) We offer tours of Fortify at the end of their visit. Preface this at the beginning of their visit, the script can go something like this:
"After your visit today, we will settle up your balance here at the clinic, and then I will walk you over across the hall to show you around the rest of Fortify!"
2.) When patients are paid up and after they have been given a receipt, you can instruct patients to grab their coat and shoes and follow you.
3.) Items to point out in tours:
-the two entrances (that they have an option to enter through either). Make sure to mention that we hold the same hours at both clinic and shop/foods
-Fortify Foods - introduce to the Foods team who is working, explain how Foods is a plant-focused menu and that patients have the option to order food or drink to enjoy during their appointments or after, and can order at the clinic. Items can be added to their bills.
-Point out the grab-and-go cooler and summarize the items that are stocked there.
-Move along to shop and say a few sentences that describe our shop philosophy, what kind of products are found there, and how we also have a dispensary for ND patients.
-Let patients know that they are always welcome to browse shop or sit at the tables before of after their visits!
